Sunderland fought back from two goals down against West Bromwich Albion this afternoon to ease some of the pressure on manager Steve Bruce.
Roy Hodgson's West Brom raced into a 2-0 lead within the opening five minutes at the Stadium of Light courtesy of goals from James Morrison and Republic of Ireland international Shane Long.
However, Sunderland were level by the 27th minute. First Nicklas Bendtner claimed his first goal for the club since joining on loan from Arsenal, before Ahmed Elmohamady headed in a cross from Bendtner.
Neither side was able to find a winning goal after the restart and the spoils were shared.
