Sunderland boss Gus Poyet has insisted that he has received no offers for striker Jozy Altidore.
Speculation has mounted that MLS side Toronto are keen on signing the USA international this month, having netted just three times since joining the club 18 months ago.
"We cannot control other teams trying to get any of our players but officially there has been no approach for any of our players so we need to wait," he told Sky Sports News.
"With Jozy things are clear - we talk together a lot and we are both very clear on what the future should bring."
The 25-year-old is contracted to the Stadium of Light club until 2017.
