Hull City boss Steve Bruce has been linked with a January move for Sunderland winger Sebastian Larsson.
The 28-year-old's contract runs out at the end of the season and he is yet to sit down for talks over a new deal.
According to The Mirror, Bruce, who signed the Swedish international for both Birmingham City and the Black Cats, will lodge a £5m bid in January hoping to force his former club's hand into business.
It is rumoured that Larsson would be open to a reunion with his old manager, who has guided the Tigers to 12th after 15 games in the Premier League, while the Mackems sit bottom.
