Sunderland manager Martin O'Neill has admitted that he may submit another bid for Bolton Wanderers captain Kevin Davies.
O'Neill had an undisclosed offer for the 34-year-old turned down by Wanderers earlier today.
However, the Black Cats boss may not be ready to call an end to his pursuit just yet.
"We have made an offer to Bolton for him, and that has been rejected at the moment," O'Neill told reporters. "We will see where we stand later on today.
"We would have to organise something with Bolton first of all and at the moment, we seem to be apart in those aspects.
"But perhaps later on today, I might have a better idea."
O'Neill is yet to add to his Sunderland squad this month.
