Sevilla have pulled out of a potential deal that could have resulted in midfielder Vicente Iborra linking up with Sunderland.
Last week, Black Cats boss David Moyes confirmed that the club had made a bid for the 28-year-old, who has spent his entire career playing in Spain.
It appeared that Sunderland were closing in on an £8m transfer but according to Sky Sports News, Sevilla have decided against selling a player who has been a regular starter for them since he joined the club from Levante in 2013.
Iborra has started on the bench for Sevilla's opening two La Liga matches, but in three seasons he has scored 22 goals in 129 appearances in all competitions.
