Sunderland are reportedly closing in on the signing of Boluspor defender Alim Ozturk.
The 25-year-old's contract will expire at the Turkish club this summer, meaning that Ozturk can join the Black Cats on a free transfer.
According to the Sunderland Echo, Jack Ross will revamp his defensive options ahead of next season by securing a deal for the former Turkey U21 international.
Ozturk has three years of experience in British football, having played for Hearts earlier in his career before moving back to Turkey.
Sunderland owner Stewart Donald recently confirmed that the League One club are close to confirming deals for three new players.
