Swansea City have revealed that defender Alfie Mawson could be available to feature against Brighton & Hove Albion at the weekend.
Last Saturday, Mawson was forced to pull out of the FA Cup fifth-round clash with Sheffield Wednesday after his knee "locked" during the warm-up at Hillsborough, and there were fears that the centre-back could be missing from the club's upcoming matches.
However, after undergoing a scan, Mawson has been given permission to return to training and the 24-year-old may come into contention for the crucial Premier League meeting with Brighton at the Amex Stadium.
According to Wales Online, a Swansea statement read: "After seeing a specialist and undergoing an MRI scan, the influential defender is set to rejoin his teammates on the training ground ahead of the Brighton clash."
Mawson has made a total of 31 starts and one substitute outing for the Welsh club during the current campaign.
