Swansea City did not deserve to be beaten at Manchester United in Saturday's Premier League clash, according to the Welsh club's interim boss Alan Curtis.

Swansea City's interim boss Alan Curtis has claimed that his team deserved to secure at least a point in their Premier League clash against Manchester United at Old Trafford.

The Swans, who entered the match having won their last three league games against the Red Devils, were level entering the final 15 minutes after Gylfi Sigurdsson cancelled out an Anthony Martial opener.

Man United regained the lead in the 77th minute through Wayne Rooney, but Swansea almost denied the home side a win late on through their goalkeeper Lukasz Fabianski, who went forward from a corner.

"We almost got something out of the game. Funnily enough, Lukasz Fabianski had asked a couple of minutes earlier to go up for a similar situation. I told him to stay back. I wish I'd asked him to go up earlier," Curtis told BBC Sport.

"We had to get back into the game. We were comfortable with the midfield diamond when it was 0-0, but once we went behind, we had to change things, so we put two wingers on to get back into it. We were a little disappointing in the first half, as we didn't keep the ball well. We grew into the game after that, and we were unlucky not to get something."

Swansea remain in 17th position in the Premier League table, just two points outside of the bottom three.
