Swansea City boss Garry Monk has revealed that he is delighted with the club's summer transfer business thus far.
Monk welcomed Gylfi Sigurdsson and Jefferson Montero to the Liberty Stadium in recent days following moves from Tottenham Hotspur and Mexican outfit Morelia respectively.
Sigurdsson will be familiar with his surroundings having spent a season-long loan in South Wales two years ago, and Monk expects the arrival to have many positive implications.
"Gylfi was a player I wanted to bring in because of his quality, the goals he scores and the fact he has proven himself at this level," he told the club's official website.
"Gylfi was an important signing for us. We have been tracking him all summer. The quality he has will raise the quality of the squad. He knows the club, the fans, the area and what is expected of him.
"And the same goes for Jefferson. He's settled in very quickly, and I've seen a good reaction from him and the squad in training. Jefferson certainly offers us something different, and I'm really happy he is here."
Swansea kick off the new Premier League campaign with a trip to Old Trafford to face Manchester United on August 16.
