Swansea City boss Garry Monk has admitted that his side are well aware of the threat Jermain Defoe will pose in their Premier League clash against Sunderland.
The Swans were hammered 5-0 by Chelsea in their last outing at the Liberty Stadium, and although he concedes that the Black Cats have quality players, Monk is adamant that his side are ready to get back to form at home.
Monk told the club's official website: "He's a fantastic player. He can score goals, he plays on the shoulder of the defender and he often spoke about how much he missed the Premier League.
"He is a player we'll have to be wary of, but they have good players all over the pitch. It will be interesting to see how the game pans out but we are at home, and we were very disappointed with our last game here against Chelsea so we'll be looking to put that right."
Swansea are ninth in the Premier League going into the match against Gus Poyet's men.
