Swansea boss Brendan Rodgers has insisted that Everton should not have been awarded the corner that led to the winning goal in the 1-0 loss to the Blues on Wednesday evening.
Leon Osman's header secured all three points for the home side, but Rodgers has stated that referee Kevin Friend made the incorrect decision.
"I didn't think it was a corner. I think if you watch it again on the replay we've defended quite well down that side, forced Drenthe onto his right foot and he has crossed it behind the goal," Rodgers told Sky Sports News.
"But, Kevin Friend has given a corner against us but we should defend the corner better. We had bodies in there and Osman, the smallest guy in their team, gets the header. It was disappointing from us. There is no excuse from a corner."
Swansea will attempt to return to winning ways when they host QPR on Tuesday.
