Swansea City boss Brendan Rodgers believes that Saturday's 2-0 home defeat to Everton will act as a learning curve for his players.
The Swans had recorded three straight wins prior to the encounter, but they were undone by goals from Leighton Baines and Nikica Jelavic.
"Today was a great learning game for us. To compete and play at this level we need to be right at our very maximum and if our passing is just a wee bit off or our touch then we will get punished and that will be the lesson learned from today," Rodgers told Sky Sports News.
Swansea sit tenth in the Premier League table.
