Swansea City midfielder Jonjo Shelvey could reportedly face action from the Football Association for a gesture made towards Cardiff City supporters.
The former Liverpool player was picked up by television cameras appearing to make a 'swim away' gesture, which is a traditional jibe used by Swans fans targeted at their South Wales rivals.
The gesture comes from a local story claiming that Swansea hooligans chased Cardiff fans into the sea following a derby clash in 1988.
Widespread reports have claimed that Shelvey could face action from the FA after he allegedly made the gesture at the end of yesterday's 1-0 defeat to Cardiff.
Steven Caulker scored the only goal in yesterday's encounter at the Cardiff City Stadium.
