Swansea City midfielder Gylfi Sigurdsson is confident that Bafetimbi Gomis will go on a run in front of goal after scoring against Aston Villa on Saturday.
The 29-year-old, who struggled for game time before Wilfried Bony was sold to Manchester City in January, struck in the 87th minute to seal a 1-0 win for the Swans at Villa Park.
"He got a goal now so hopefully he can really push on and get some more before the end of the season - I'm sure he can," the South Wales Evening Post quotes Sigurdsson as saying.
"He got a proper striker's goal on Saturday and hopefully they will go in more easily for him now."
Gomis has scored three Premier League goals so far this season.
