Swansea City have reportedly applied for planning permission to increase the size of the Liberty Stadium.
The South Wales club are hoping to increase the capacity of their home ground by 10,000.
"As supporters would expect, we are looking at every option and that includes expansion of the stadium," club chairman Huw Jenkins said.
"Everything, of course, depends on being able to retain our status as a Premier League club."
The stadium's capacity is currently 20,500, with only 2,000 tickets going on general sale each game.
Swansea are currently eighth in the Premier League with 39 points from 29 games.
