Swansea City defender Neil Taylor has claimed that his team can take plenty of positives from Saturday's 2-1 defeat to Manchester City in the Premier League.
The Swans led at the Etihad Stadium through Wilfried Bony, but the champions fought back with goals from Stevan Jovetic and Yaya Toure to seal the win.
Despite coming away from the match without any points, Taylor believes that Swansea should be proud of their performance.
"We started really well and it was great for us to get the first goal, but I think we took our foot off the gas a little and let them back into the game," he told the club's official website.
"They have massive quality and are a difficult side to contain at times, but I thought we gave a great account of ourselves and were always in the game. We pushed towards the end, but it wasn't quite enough. Hopefully we will look back at the game and it is one where we impressed."
Swansea return to action next Saturday when they host Crystal Palace in the Premier League.
