Napoli president Aurelio De Laurentiis has revealed that Swansea City forward Michu is close to joining the Italian club, with negotiations "well underway".
Manager Rafael Benitez is an admirer of the 28-year-old Spaniard, whom he sees as the perfect partner for striker Gonzalo Higuain, reports suggest.
"Some situations will begin to unlock in the first few days of August," De Laurentiis is quoted as saying by Calcionews24.
"We are not only looking for the name, but a profile that is useful to the team and the coach. Negotiations have been well under way for months but there is still no agreement reached."
Michu signed a new four-year deal in January 2013 but has not joined the Swans on their pre-season tour of the USA.
