Swansea City have made a bid for Middlesbrough striker Leroy Lita.
The club and the 26-year-old are yet to agree terms but a fee is close to being settled, according to BBC Sport Wales.
Lita scored 12 with Middlesbrough last season, making him the club’s second top scorer.
The striker joined Reading for a then-record £1m in 2005 and scored 32 in 100 appearances.
After a loan stint at Norwich, he joined Middlesbrough on a three-year deal in 2009.
