Swansea City are reportedly lining up a £5m bid for West Bromwich Albion defender James Chester this summer.
The 27-year-old moved to the Midlands from Hull City last summer but has failed to force his way into Baggies manager Tony Pulis's plans, featuring just nine times in the league all season.
According to the Daily Mail, the Welsh side attempted to bring in Chester on loan in the January transfer window but Pulis refused to sanction a move to a potential relegation rival.
With both sides now almost certainly safe from the drop, the newspaper claims that talks will re-open over a deal this summer.
Despite his lack of game time, Chester has been assured of a place in Chris Coleman's Wales squad for Euro 2016 if he remains fit.
