Michel Vorm: 'I believe in Swansea City vision'

Swansea City goalkeeper Michel Vorm insists that he does not see himself leaving the club in the near future.

Swansea City goalkeeper Michel Vorm has revealed that he signed a new contract at the Liberty Stadium because he believes in the club's vision for success.

Speculation has linked Vorm with a move to Arsenal and Liverpool, but the Dutch goalkeeper has insisted that he has no plans to leave the club.

The 29-year-old told the South Wales Evening Post: "At the beginning of the season I signed a new deal. That wasn't only because I thought this was a nice club or whatever, it's because I believe in what we do.

"A contract doesn't always say that much, but there has never been a club or an agent who has come to this club or my agent saying 'we want Michel'. It's more a media thing that's started and I think it's a compliment to myself.

"It means I'm doing well in the team, but also as an individual. That is good. I don't really see myself leaving, but you can't say never because I don't know what's going to happen in the summer."

The former FC Utrecht goalkeeper has made 60 Premier League appearances for the Swans.
