Sweden striker Zlatan Ibrahimovic has declared that the "World Cup is nothing" without his presence.
The Paris Saint-Germain forward will be missing from next summer's tournament after his side were beaten 3-2 by Portugal in their playoff on Tuesday evening, and Ibrahimovic has said that the Brazil tournament will be worse off for his absence.
"One thing is for sure, a World Cup without me is nothing to watch," he said on
his own app Zlatan Unplugged.
"So it is not worthwhile to wait for the World Cup. The disappointment of course is great now that the World Cup in Brazil will remain a dream for the Swedish national team."
Despite Ibrahimovic scoring a brace on the night, his side were beaten 4-2 on aggregate, with all four goals scored by Real Madrid's Cristiano Ronaldo.
