Blerim Dzemaili: 'Switzerland must work as a team'

Switzerland midfielder Blerim Dzemaili insists that his side cannot afford to rely on individual players as they look to secure a place in the last 16 of the World Cup.

Blerim Dzemaili has insisted that Switzerland cannot afford to rely on individual players in their pursuit of a last 16 spot at the World Cup.

La Nati, who are currently second in the Group E standings on goal difference, face Honduras on Wednesday night knowing that victory will likely see them progress from the group with Ecuador taking on a rampant France side.

However, Dzemaili says that the world's sixth-ranked team must work together as one in order to achieve their aim.

"Everyone can nurture big dreams, but first we have to do a little homework and that is to beat Honduras," the 28-year-old told FIFA.com.

"We have seen that the big teams just relying on individuals are quickly eliminated, which little Switzerland can't afford. We have to give our all together, like we did against France, but we also had some bad luck after they scored their early goals."

Switzerland followed up their 2-1 opening game victory against Ecuador with a crushing 5-2 defeat at the hands of France last time out.
