Torino president Urbano Cairo has thrown his support behind Joe Hart after the England goalkeeper was criticised following his debut for the Italian club.
Hart, who joined the Turin outfit on loan from Manchester City in the summer, was at fault for Atalanta BC's equaliser in Torino's 2-1 defeat at the weekend, with the stopper flapping at a corner which allowed Andrea Masiello to level.
Cairo has admitted that Hart 'could have done better' during the Serie A match, but puts the error down to "bad luck" and backs the 29-year-old to impress during his time in Italian football.
"[Hart] conceded a goal from a ball that could've been saved, but it must be said that he was touched by another of our players. It was bad luck, and I think is a great goalkeeper," Cairo told reporters.
Hart has been replaced as Man City number one by summer signing Claudio Bravo.
