Toulouse will play in Ligue 1 again next season despite losing 2-1 away to mid-table Guingamp this evening.
Goals from Christophe Mandanne and Claudio Beauvue were enough to beat Le Tefece, who scored through a first-half Wissam Ben Yedder penalty, but Evian TG's defeat to Saint-Etienne means that Toulouse have avoided the drop.
The visitors got off the worst possible start when a Lars Jacobsen cross found its way to Mandanne in the area, and his low effort beat Ali Ahamada.
Toulouse were offered a way back into the game when they were awarded a penalty for Christophe Kerbrat's handball, which Ben Yedder tucked away midway through the first half.
Guingamp retook the lead soon after the interval as Beauvue turned home Jeremy Pied's cross past a helpless Ahamada.
The home side were reduced to 10 men for the final half an hour as Kerbrat was shown a red card after a poor challenge on Oscar Trejo.
However, Toulouse were unable to captialise as Guingamp held on for a victory which will not end up proving costly to Toulouse.
