Sports Mole rounds up all of the latest transfer news in La Liga on Friday, January 22.
Friday morning's La Liga transfer talk news roundup:
Manchester United 'beat Barcelona, Manchester City to Gabriel Veron'
Manchester United have reportedly stolen a march on Barcelona and Manchester City in the race to sign Palmeiras forward Gabriel Veron.
The 18-year-old has earned links with a move to a host of European heavyweights after scoring eight goals and setting up three more in 33 games for the Brazilian club.
Palmeiras are thought to be prepared to cash in on the Brazil Under-17s international this month if a €20m (£17.63m) offer is tabled.
Spanish outlet Sport suggests that United are now the favourites to complete a move for Veron, having worked hard behind the scenes to ensure that he chooses them over Barca and bitter rivals City.
United, who beat Fulham 2-1 on Wednesday night to move back into top spot in the Premier League, are also said to be targeting a loan move for Inter Milan playmaker Christian Eriksen.
Barcelona 'angry with Paris Saint-Germain over Lionel Messi pursuit'
Barcelona have reportedly been left furious with Paris Saint-Germain over their pursuit of wantaway attacker Lionel Messi.
The six-time Ballon d'Or winner is due to become a free agent in the summer and can open talks with other clubs after entering the final six months of his Camp Nou deal.
PSG manager Mauricio Pochettino and sporting director Leonardo have both talked up the prospect of Messi plying his trade in the French capital - comments that have allegedly left Barcelona seething.
According to Sport, the Catalan giants feel that PSG are attempting to play mind games with Messi, which they feel has broken a code of respect between the two clubs.
The report also claims that Barca believe PSG are trying to gain a psychological advantage ahead of their Champions League last-16 battle, with the first leg set to take place on February 16.
However, Messi's £500k-a-week salary could supposedly be too expensive even for PSG, while Manchester City are regarded as the only other club realistically capable of pulling off a deal.
