Sports Mole rounds up all of the latest transfer news in La Liga on Wednesday, July 22.
Wednesday morning's La Liga transfer talk news roundup:
Chelsea 'launch £23m bid for Nicolas Tagliafico'
Chelsea have reportedly submitted a €25m (£23m) offer for Ajax left-back Nicolas Tagliafico.
The Blues are expected to bring a new left-sided full-back to Stamford Bridge this summer, with Marcos Alonso and Emerson Palmieri expected to leave ahead of the 2020-21 campaign.
Leicester City's Ben Chilwell has been strongly linked with a move, but the Foxes appear to be pricing the England international out of a summer exit.
According to Mundo Deportivo, Chelsea have now launched a €25m (£23m) bid for Tagliafico as they prepare to battle the likes of Atletico Madrid and Manchester City for his signature.
The 27-year-old recently suggested that he would be on the move ahead of the 2020-21 campaign, leading to a host of speculation surrounding his future.
The Argentina international enjoyed an impressive 2019-20 campaign for his Dutch club, scoring five times and contributing seven assists in 38 appearances in all competitions.
Chelsea 'to make formal Kai Havertz bid once Champions League qualification is secure'
Chelsea will reportedly make an official offer for Bayer Leverkusen's Kai Havertz once their position in next season's Champions League has been secured.
The Blues are in pole position to claim a top-four finish in the Premier League, currently occupying third spot in the table ahead of their final two league matches against Liverpool and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
Frank Lampard's side are only one point clear of fifth-placed Manchester United, though, and could potentially still finish outside of the top four.
The London giants continue to be strongly linked with a move for Havertz, who is allegedly 'very interested' in joining the club despite suggestions that Man United and Real Madrid are also in the hunt.
According to ESPN, Lampard's team are expected to launch a formal offer once their qualification for Europe's leading competition has been confirmed, if that is the case.
The report claims that the Blues are in a strong financial position despite the coronavirus pandemic, although their funds would be boosted further by ensuring that they are in next season's Champions League.
Havertz enjoyed an excellent 2019-20 campaign for his German club, scoring 17 times and registering nine assists in 43 appearances in all competitions.
