Man City 'interested in re-signing Pedro Porro from Spurs'

Manchester City are reportedly interested in re-signing right-back Pedro Porro from Tottenham Hotspur this summer.

Porro spent three years at Man City between 2019 and 2022 following a spell at sister club Girona, but he never made a single appearance for Pep Guardiola's side.

The 24-year-old instead honed his craft during loan spells with Real Valladolid and Sporting Lisbon, and he particularly impressed with the latter before joining permanently in the summer of 2022.

Porro made a total of 98 appearances for Sporting, scoring 12 goals and registering 20 assists, and his superb performances with the Portuguese giants caught the attention of Tottenham, who signed the right-back on an initial loan deal in January last year with an obligation to buy for €45m (£38.7m) the following summer.

Chelsea 'told it will take £160m to sign Toney this month'

Brentford have reportedly placed a price tag believed to be in the region of £160m for Ivan Toney, who has been heavily linked with a move to Chelsea in the current transfer window.

The Brentford forward is set to make a comeback to professional football on January 17 after serving an eight-month suspension for involvement in betting-related offences.

Since joining Brentford in 2020, Toney has netted 63 goals in 111 appearances and earned his first cap for the England national team under Gareth Southgate.

Ahead of his return, the 27-year-old decided to change agents as he looks to secure a move away from the Gtech Community Stadium this month.

Marcelo Pitaluga signs new Liverpool deal, joins St Patrick's Athletic on loan

Liverpool goalkeeper Marcelo Pitaluga has joined Irish outfit St Patrick's Athletic on loan after signing a new contract at Anfield.

The 21-year-old came through the Fluminense youth setup before joining Jurgen Klopp's side in the summer of 2020, and he has kept nine clean sheets in 37 games for the Reds' Under-23s side.

Pitaluga is yet to make his senior debut for Liverpool, but he has been in and around the first-team setup ever since his arrival, making the bench in the Premier League, Europa League and EFL Cup.

The Brazilian shot-stopper was named in Klopp's matchday squad for December's 2-0 top-flight win over Sheffield United, while he also has two clean sheets from five Premier League 2 appearances in the current campaign.

Celtic, Rangers 'want Scott McKenna from Nottingham Forest'

Scottish giants Celtic and Rangers are reportedly set to battle for the signature of Nottingham Forest defender Scott McKenna.

The 27-year-old was allegedly banished from first-team training at Forest last month and has been told that he is free to leave the club in the January transfer window.

McKenna moved to the City Ground in September 2020 from Aberdeen and helped the club secure promotion from the Championship in 2022.

The Scotland international, who has made a total of 105 appearances for Forest in all competitions, fractured his collarbone in April which ruled him out for the rest of the season.

Benfica interested in Manchester United's Alvaro Fernandez?

Benfica are reportedly considering making a January bid for Manchester United defender Alvaro Fernandez.

The 20-year-old is currently on loan at La Liga outfit Granada, making 14 appearances for the Spanish team during the 2023-24 campaign, including 13 outings in the league.

Fernandez has struggled to secure regular starts this term, but he played 88 minutes of Granada's 2-0 success over Cadiz in La Liga on Wednesday, which proved to be just the team's second league win of the season.

The defender also spent the 2022-23 campaign away from Old Trafford, representing Preston North End in the Championship, featuring on 42 occasions in all competitions.

Man United 'showing an interest in Girona's Miguel Gutierrez'

Manchester United have reportedly been regularly scouting Girona's Miguel Gutierrez in recent weeks, with the Red Devils considering a January move for the defender.

The 22-year-old came through the youth system at Real Madrid, turning out on 10 occasions for their first team, before making the move to Girona in August 2022.

Gutierrez was in strong form for the Catalan side last season, making 36 appearances in all competitions, while he has also impressed this term for La Liga's surprise package.

The defender has contributed one goal and three assists in 20 outings this term for a team that are currently second in the La Liga table, only behind Real Madrid on the head-to-head record.

Liverpool, Manchester City 'join the race for Michael Olise'

Liverpool and Manchester City are reportedly preparing to battle Manchester United and Chelsea for the signature of Crystal Palace attacker Michael Olise during this summer's transfer window.

The 22-year-old's future is currently the subject of much speculation, with a recent report claiming that incoming minority shareholder Sir Jim Ratcliffe is determined to bring him to Man United this summer.

Chelsea also pushed to sign Olise in 2023, but the attacker ultimately signed a new contract at Selhurst Park, with his current terms due to run until the end of the 2026-27 campaign.

There will allegedly be a release clause in his deal this summer, though, and Palace are thought to be expecting to lose him due to the amount of interest.

Freddie Draper returns to Lincoln from Walsall loan

"Freddie's had an unbelievable 2023, scoring 18 goals and therefore, with our change of head coach, it was a no brainer to recall him," said director of football Jez George.

"Freddie joined Walsall as an 18-year-old, so to establish himself as their No.9 and score 10 goals in half a season in just one league lower is a fantastic achievement and tells you everything about Freddie's mentality and ability. Michael Skubala has watched him extensively and believes he has a big role to play for us in the second half of our season and beyond.

"Finally, I would like to thank Walsall, their ownership, staff, fans and in particular Mat Sadler for how they have backed Freddie throughout, from the moment they identified him as a target. Mat is an extremely talented young coach and clearly cares about his players and their development. We wish Mat and his team well at Southampton on Saturday and for the rest of their season."

    Huddersfield sign Bojan Radulovic

"A forward of Bojan's profile is someone we've really wanted to introduce to the squad, so I'm absolutely delighted that he's signed a long-term contract with the club," said manager Darren Moore.

"We are blessed with real attacking talent and flair in wide areas and midfield, but through injury and unavailability have lacked a forward who can help tie that all together, finish chances in the box with regularity and create space and opportunities for others to exploit, which his size, skill and ability will now allow us.

"Arriving at a really exciting time in his career with a consistent goalscoring record at an impressive level of competition, I'm exciting to start working with him straight away and see what we can have him bring to the side as soon as possible."

Sporting director Mark Cartwright added: "Working to clearly defined goals ahead of this transfer window, we knew that we wanted to attract players to the club who could positively impact our first team immediately, bring new skills and options to what already existed within our squad and help us play the brand of football that we desire to; Bojan ticks all of those boxes for us, and more.

"Not only a great asset for now, he has the potential to get even better with time having only just celebrated turning 24, so we're delighted to tie him down to a long-term contract and have him buy in to what we're trying to achieve at the Club going forward.

"A different type of forward to what we currently have available, he will wear the number nine because that's exactly what he is, and I'm excited to see the impact his eye for goal and ability to hold the ball up has on the side."

"I'm really happy to be here and can't wait to get started," Lewis told TownTV.

"When I knew Ipswich were calling I jumped at the chance, given the league position and the unbelievable start to the season the team has had.

"To be a part of a team like this is something I'm very excited about and I'm looking forward to playing in front of the supporters.

"I have had good, honest conversations with the Manager and I think the style of play will suit me. I am aggressive both with and without the ball, which I think is what he liked, so it's about me getting in there and impressing."

Sancho's proposed loan return to Dortmund 'has been delayed'

Manchester United and Borussia Dortmund are reportedly yet to come to a full agreement over a January deal for Jadon Sancho despite reports that the attacker is on the verge of returning to BVB.

The 23-year-old is set to leave Old Trafford following his falling-out with Red Devils head coach Erik ten Hag, which stemmed from the attacker being left out against Arsenal at the start of September.

Sancho disputed Ten Hag's claims that poor performances in training had led to him being left out of the clash at the Emirates Stadium, and the ex-Manchester City forward posted a statement on social media after the match claiming that he had been made "a scapegoat".

The Englishman has not been involved in the first-team picture at Man United for some time, and he is almost certain to depart the 20-time English champions in the near future.

Stoke sign goalkeeper Daniel Iversen on loan from Leicester

"I have known of the interest for a couple of transfer windows, and it's great to now get a deal done," Iversen told the club website.

"This feels like the right time for me to come here, work hard to earn my place in the team and show what I can do.

"I really like the Championship, the atmosphere the fans create at every game and the relentless nature of the matches.

"I believe my experience playing in the Premier League last season, while in tough circumstances, has benefitted me and made me a better goalkeeper.

"We'll take one game at a time, but the clear objective is to help the team climb the table and finish as high as we can."

Technical director Ricky Martin added: "We have been tracking Daniel since January of last year, prior to him making his Premier League debut for Leicester City.

"He has gained a variety of experiences across all four divisions, including a successful spell in the Championship with Preston and his introduction to top-flight football last season.

"When we learned of Daniel's availability, we were quick to act as we believe he is a high-quality addition to our goalkeeping group and someone who can help us climb the table during the second half of the campaign.

"Whilst a permanent transfer for a keeper was of course under consideration, the most important factor was to bring in the best available player.

"We will be able to assess the situation again during the next transfer window in the summer once Daniel's loan has come to an end."

"I'm really happy here and just looking forward to the next couple of years. I've said loads of times before that it's the perfect club for me to come down to.

"Settling in during the last couple of years was so easy. I've done interviews before when I've said the staff, the players, everyone, even the people who work at the training ground have made it so easy for me and I feel properly settled."

Manager Ryan Lowe added: "Ali fully deserves the extension to his contract because he's been excellent since I've been here, on and off the pitch.

"He's a great character to have around the place, he's improving every single day, and he's still young.

"Once his agent had spoken to Peter [Ridsdale] and I'd spoken with Ali, it all moved quite quickly, which I think shows his commitment to Preston North End.

Ligue 1 side Monaco have completed the signing of West Ham United defender Thilo Kehrer on loan until the end of the season, with an option to buy in the summer.

It is understood that Monaco will pay an initial €500,000 (£431,000) for the loan deal, which also contains an €11m (£9.5m) option to make it permanent.

Sky Deutschland reports that there are performance-related credentials that could turn the option to buy into an obligation this summer.

Ange Postecoglou admits Ivan Perisic may have played last game for Spurs

Tottenham Hotspur head coach Ange Postecoglou has conceded that soon-to-be free agent Ivan Perisic may have played his final game for the club due to his devastating anterior cruciate ligament injury.

The Croatia international featured as a substitute in Spurs' first five Premier League games of the 2023-24 season under Postecoglou, as well as starting and providing an assist in a 2-1 EFL Cup loss to Fulham.

However, after also setting up Richarlison's equaliser in Tottenham's enthralling 2-1 comeback success over Sheffield United on September 16, Perisic became the latest high-profile victim of an ACL problem sustained in training.

The 34-year-old immediately underwent surgery, but it was feared that he would miss the rest of the season, potentially bringing an unfortunate end to his Tottenham career ahead of his contract expiry in the summer.

Inter Milan beat Man City to Tajon Buchanan signing

Buchanan leaves Club Brugge following a successful two-year spell in Belgium, where he scored five goals and provided 12 assists in 67 games as both a right midfielder and right-back.

Pochettino: 'Chelsea yet to make decisions on January window'

Mauricio Pochettino has suggested that Chelsea are in no rush to make any signings during the January transfer window.

Despite spending in excess of £1bn across three windows, it has been widely reported that the Blues are interested in doing business at the midway point of 2023-24.

There have been suggestions that a new centre-back, central midfield and forward could be on Pochettino's radar, as well as a desire to add more height to his ranks.

However, Chelsea also have the pressing concern of FFP, with their extravagant spending in the past making it imperative that sales are made at some stage in the near future.

Man United 'still expecting Anthony Martial exit despite contract talks'

Manchester United reportedly still expect Anthony Martial to leave the club in the summer transfer window despite suggestions of talks over a new deal.

However, neither Martial nor Raphael Varane - whose deals run out at the end of the season - had their options activated, leaving them free to open discussions with foreign clubs this month.

Ten Hag told the media that the club were "talking" to Varane and Martial's camps, suggesting that a new deal could be in the pipeline, although he refused to go into detail over the nature of the discussions.

Bayern Munich striker Eric Maxim Choupo-Moting has apparently agreed to join Manchester United on loan for the remainder of the season.

Despite forking out a whopping £72m to bring Rasmus Hojlund to the club from Atalanta BC over the summer, the Red Devils' desire to bolster their attacking ranks is no secret.

Man United pursued a move for Hojlund after failing with their attempts to capture Bayern's Harry Kane and Napoli's Victor Osimhen, but the Dane has struggled to adapt to life in the Premier League during his first few months at the club.

While netting five goals in Man United's doomed Champions League group-stage campaign, Hojlund went 14 games without opening his Premier League account before belatedly getting off the mark in a 3-2 win over Aston Villa on Boxing Day.

Ben Brereton Diaz joins Sheffield United on loan from Villarreal

"Ben was a coveted player so we're delighted to have brought him to the club," said manager Chris Wilder.

"We all know about him from his days at Blackburn. He's a versatile operator at the top of the pitch, who gives us options in terms of playing off the side or playing through the middle. He's quick, powerful and obviously his recent goal record at Blackburn speaks for itself. He's got plenty of international experience as well over the last few years, representing Chile.

"For me, the fact that he really wanted to come here and play in the Premier League was a big factor. I didn't have to say much about Sheffield United because he knows all about us already, he's done his homework and liked what he'd heard and what we had to say to him.

"Bringing players to this club, first and foremost they need to want to be here, and Ben showed a real appetite and enthusiasm for the challenge ahead, and that was key for me. He's excited about playing for this club and I have no doubt this is a signing which will be a major help to us in the second part of this season."

Brereton added: "As soon as I knew there was interest, I spoke to a few people, and we got it done quickly. I wasn't really playing out there (in Spain) and was told I could go out on loan, so it is great to be over in England now at such a great club and a club I know well through playing against. I can't wait to get started.

"I spoke to Chris (Wilder) on the phone, and he was telling me about what the team stands for - hard work, desire and things like that. That's something I enjoy, and it was something I wanted to be part of.

"Coming here is great for myself, playing in the Premier League is something you dream of as a young boy so that's great for me and I just can't wait to get started."

Arsenal 'make contact with Everton over Amadou Onana deal'

Arsenal have reportedly touched base with Everton to register their interest in a January deal for midfielder Amadou Onana.

The Belgium international has proven himself in the Premier League since leaving Lille for Goodison Park in the summer of 2022, registering three goals and three assists in 56 matches for Sean Dyche's men.

Onana's contract with Everton does not expire for another three-and-a-half years, but the 22-year-old has unsurprisingly been tipped to depart the Merseyside outfit in search of European football for the 2024-25 season.

Both Arsenal and Manchester United are supposedly ready to battle for Onana's signature this year, although Everton have not been expected to entertain January offers for such an integral cog in their system.

Transfer rumours: Man Utd to loan out youngsters, Liverpool reject Beck bid, Palace want Edwards

Manchester United boss Erik ten Hag is reportedly ready to loan out several of the club's youngsters during the January transfer window.

According to Manchester Evening News, Dan Gore is one of the players who may be allowed to link up with another team on a temporary basis.

Despite being highly rated at Old Trafford, the 19-year-old has been limited to two substitute outings this campaign, one in the EFL Cup and another more recently in the Premier League to help United see off Aston Villa.
