Meanwhile, Udinese are in need of a victory to keep alive their hopes of qualifying for Europe next season.

The Bianconeri, who are languishing in ninth position in the standings, have failed to win their previous two games in the league.

Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, Francesco Totti and Mattia Destro are all available for Roma following injury concerns, but forward Gervinho is unavailable due to Africa Cup of Nations duty with the Ivory Coast.

Udinese have no fresh fitness problems heading into the match, though Thomas Heurtaux will miss out through suspension after seeing red during the team's 2-2 draw with Sampdoria.
