Valencia boss Nuno has praised his team for their 'commitment and cooperation' during Tuesday's 1-0 win over Lyon in the Champions League.
Los Che have struggled to find their best form in the early part of the season, but returned to winning ways in Europe courtesy of Sofiane Feghouli's first-half goal in France.
"Our pillars worked - the commitment, the cooperation. We played well in the first half and suffered in the second," AS quotes Nuno as saying.
"The priority was to win and we didn't give up. We defended in an organised manner, counteracting the central area. Perhaps we were vulnerable on the flanks, which were clear.
"We played against a good team and they're not out of it. I think everyone saw that our team plays, produces and arrives. Our fans saw a united team. We've shown that it's necessary in this competition to be together. Football hadn't been fair to us but we're here to fight."
Valencia currently sit second in Group H, three points behind the leaders Zenit St Petersburg, who beat Nuno's side 3-2 in their first group match earlier this month.
