Valencia captain Dani Parejo has revealed his delight after Los Che booked their spot in the group stages of the Champions League.
The Spanish side were beaten 2-1 at Monaco in the second leg of their playoff on Tuesday, but a 3-1 victory in the first leg ensured that they qualified.
Parejo has also lavished praise on Alvaro Negredo, who struck Valencia's solitary goal against the Ligue 1 outfit.
"This is the Champions League and we played against a team that isn't easy. Last year they got to the quarter-finals and eliminated a finalist. The important thing is we have come through the tie and we are in the Champions League," Parejo is quoted as saying by AS.
"It was an important game for Alvaro Negredo and everyone was training very well. I told him, if he wants it, we're in the Champions League. He scored and contributed a lot to the team. Valencia are where they deserve to be.
"The fans are amazing. We're playing away from home and we brought so many supporters. We dedicate this victory to them. In this competition every game is pretty amazing. All the games are ones players like to play."
The draw for the group stages of the Champions League will take place on Thursday.
