Valencia will be without their first-choice goalkeeper Diego Alves for up to a month after the Brazilian suffered a hamstring injury in Saturday's 1-0 win over Rayo Vallecano.
The 28-year-old, who has established himself as the number one keeper at the Mestalla this season, is believed to have suffered the strain in the final 15 minutes of their La Liga fixture at the weekend.
His absence will hand an opportunity to Vicente Guaita, who was linked with a move to Premier League outfit Arsenal in the summer.
Three wins on the bounce have moved Valencia into sixth position in La Liga following a difficult start to the season.
