Villarreal are reportedly preparing a January move for Valencia's out-of-favour attacker Rodrigo de Paul.
The 21-year-old joined Los Che from Udinese in 2014 and is believed to have turned down interest from the likes of Arsenal to move to Spain.
However, according to Super Deporte, the Argentine had a falling out with Valencia boss Nuno in the early stages of this season and his involvement has been limited in the new campaign.
The same report claims that Villarreal are closely monitoring the situation and could test the waters in the January transfer window.
De Paul made 27 appearances in all competitions last season.
