Villarreal boss Marcelino has criticised the state of the Las Palmas pitch following Sunday's goalless draw between the two teams.
The Yellow Submarine entered the match knowing that three points would have moved them into the top four in La Liga, but struggling Las Palmas held the high-flyers to a 0-0 draw.
Marcerlino has claimed that the surface, which was damaged by heavy rainfall, made it difficult for the visitors to adopt their normal passing style.
"The game was very even, with few chances, and didn't have many memorable moments because the grass prevented attacking moves from happening. It was very difficult," Marcelino told reporters.
Las Palmas were under new management at the weekend, with Quique Setien taking charge of his first match since replacing Paco Herrera at the helm.
