Villarreal assistant Ruben Uria has insisted that the Yellow Submarine are still a work in progress despite their strong start to the new campaign.
Marcelino's side have taken seven points from their first three La Liga games this term, with that total leaving them fourth in the table.
Speaking after Sunday's 3-1 win over Granada, Uria, who replaced the suspended Marcelino on the touchline, gave his thoughts on the team's performance.
"We did very well on a very difficult pitch and against good opponents. [Our objective] is to improve on last season, but we must go step by step. We have some great individuals and now must make a team out of them," Uria told reporters.
"Already having seven points to our name is good fortune, but we're still in the process of building a team, especially in attack, where most of the [personnel] changes have taken place."
Only Barcelona have more points than Villarreal at this stage of new the La Liga season.
