Marcos Senna has revealed a desire to return to Villarreal in some capacity in the future.
The Spanish midfielder spent 11 years with the Yellow Submarine between 2002 and 2013, before joining the New York Cosmos, who he still represents.
However, the 38-year-old is now eyeing a return to Spain.
"I think it's going to be a great season for Villarreal. I'll always follow them. It's my home. In the future the idea is to go back and live nearby," he told AS.
"If I have the chance to re-join the club I'd be very happy."
Senna made 28 appearances for Spain between 2006 and 2010.
