Fiorentina have completed the signing of Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi.
The 25-year-old is thought to have joined Viola for an initial £8m fee, which could rise as high as £13m with bonuses.
Rossi has mostly been a frustrated spectator since injuring his anterior cruciate ligament in his right knee against Real Madrid in October of last year.
After spending six months on the sidelines, he returned only briefly before suffering the same injury again.
The Italian international, who has previously spent time in Serie A with Parma, is expected to return to action in March.
