Villarreal striker Giuseppe Rossi has admitted that he would love to return to Italian football at Inter Milan when he regains fitness.
Rossi has endured a frustrating 12 months with a series of injury problems, most notably a pair of knee injuries which have kept him sidelined so far this season.
The Azzurri international has played down talk of a deal to join Roma but insisted that he would be interested in playing in Serie A for Inter.
He told Gr Parlamento: "My goal is to get back on the pitch in Spain, Italy or anywhere else.
"It is not true that I will undergo my recovery at Roma, but I am feeling positive about my knee. Inter? Who would not like to play there? They are a team that I like, with a project that has scope for growth."
Rossi is expected to leave Spain in January if he can prove his fitness, with the Spanish second-division club desperate to cash in on their Italy forward.
