Sports Mole previews Saturday's Eredivisie clash between Vitesse and PEC Zwolle, including predictions, team news and possible lineups.
Sports Mole

PEC Zwolle visit GelreDome on Saturday to square up against Vitesse with three consecutive wins on the horizon for the first time in the current campaign.

The home side, on the other hand, are yet to lose an Eredivisie game since February 21, picking up 15 points from seven outings in that time.

Match preview

For the second league game in a row, Vitesse were involved in a goalless draw as they were forced to share the spoils with Feyenoord on Sunday.

In a match where Thomas Letsch's men had the better chances to claim all three points, wastefulness in front of goal was their undoing in the end.

Vitas currently occupy fourth place on the log and are on course to make a return to European football for the first time in four seasons.

In the meantime, exacting revenge on Zwolle - who claimed a shock 2-1 win in December's reverse fixture - is the task at hand for Saturday's hosts.

They are yet to lose at home to the visitors in any of the last 10 clashes, winning seven of them and drawing three since 2013.

Zwolle picked up their second win on the bounce following a 2-0 victory over Heerenveen at the Abe Lenstra Stadion on Saturday.

Goals in either half from Pelle Clement and Bram van Polen were enough to hand Bert Konterman's men their eighth win of the season.

The Blauwvingers are now 11 points ahead of the drop zone which all but guarantees their place in the top flight next season.

A top-half finish is also on the cards for Saturday's visitors, who are now just two points adrift of ninth-placed Twente.

Team News

Jacob Rasmussen was given a straight red card against Ajax, so he will be serving the second of a three-game suspension in this one.

Elazar Dasa was absent for the draw against Feyenoord last time out and once again, the 28-year-old is not expected to feature on Saturday.

The away side have a lengthy injury list for the fixture with up to seven players ruled out for the journey to Arnhem.

Destan Bajselmani, Thomas Buitink, and Chirino Daijiro are all sidelined through muscular injuries which kept them out of the visitors' last outing.

Joining the aforementioned trio on the treatment table are Virgil Misidjan, Immanuel Pherai, Eliano Reijnders, and Sai van Wermeskerken.

Vitesse possible starting lineup:
Pasveer; Wittek, Hajek, Bazoer, Doekhi, Oroz; Tannane, Bero, Bruns; Broja, Openda

PEC Zwolle possible starting lineup:
Zetterer; Nakayama, Van Polen, Kersten, Paal; Huiberts, Lam, Drost; Tedic, Benson, Clement

We say: Vitesse 2-0 PEC Zwolle

Vitesse have been defensively solid at home this term as they have conceded the fewest number of goals on their own turf. While we are backing them to record another clean sheet on their own patch, we also expect them to have the wherewithal at the other end of the pitch to get themselves on the scoresheet and bag all three points.
