Ben Davies: 'Wales capable without Gareth Bale, Aaron Ramsey against Netherlands'

Wales international defender Ben Davies is certain that the side can live without Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey against the Netherlands on Friday.

Ben Davies has said that he is certain Wales can live without Gareth Bale and Aaron Ramsey against the Netherlands.

Chris Coleman's side face the 2010 World Cup runners-up at the Cardiff City Stadium on Friday, and Davies insists that the team can cope without the Real Madrid and Arsenal stars.

"We've lost two very good players but we're confident that everybody in this squad is here for a reason," he told reporters. "We don't have any players that are here to make up the numbers and if they get the opportunity to play they'll do the best they can.

"This is definitely a chance to show we're not a one-man or a two-man team which we have been labelled. Of course, you need the quality they've got to get us through some games. But the chances now are for the other players to show we're about the team rather than one or two players."

Wales are currently 15th in the FIFA world rankings, while the Netherlands are one place behind after failing to qualify for Euro 2016.
