Former Wales international Cliff Jones believes that Craig Bellamy should be handed a coaching role within the national setup.
The ex-Liverpool and Manchester City forward announced his retirement from football last month following a 17-year career playing the sport.
The 34-year-old, who signed off with a goal for Cardiff City against Chelsea on the final day of the Premier League season, has expressed a desire to go into management.
"I'm just wondering if there could be some little job for Craig in the Welsh setup," BBC Sport quotes Jones as saying.
"He is one of my favourite footballers of all time. I know that he would relish it because he's a proud Welshman and I've got a lot of respect for him."
Bellamy also played for Norwich City, Coventry City, Newcastle United, Blackburn Rovers and West Ham United during his career.
