Striker Tom Bradshaw has admitted that he is "over the moon" to sign a new contract at Walsall.
Bradshaw, who finished as the club's top goalscorer last season with 20 goals, had just a year remaining on his previous deal, but he has now committed his future to the Saddlers until 2017.
The 22-year-old is quoted by the Express & Star as saying: "I'm over the moon to sign this extension. It was a great year for me personally last season and there is no reason why, as a team, we can't be challenging for the playoffs this time around.
"I'm full of optimism and can't wait to get started. We showed against the big teams last year that we can really thrive at this level.
"For me to miss around 20 games through injury but still hit 20 goals was a brilliant milestone, but I realise that I have to do it on a consistent basis and I will be striving to reach those heights again."
Bradshaw made 37 appearances in his debut campaign with the League One club after signing from Shrewsbury Town.
