Championship side Watford have confirmed that Almen Abdi was taken off during yesterday's 2-2 draw with Wolverhampton Wanderers as a precautionary measure.
The Swiss midfielder was removed after just 12 minutes of action at Molineux, but the Hornets are not concerned about Abdi being absent for too long.
"We'll be assessing Almen - along with the all of the squad - during the early part of this week," head of medical Richard Collinge told the club's official website.
"At this stage of the season, it's about managing players' physical conditioning in the most appropriate way and Almen is no exception to that course of action."
A point at Molineux saw Watford become one of four teams at the top of the Championship level on 66 points with 10 games of the season remaining.
