Miguel Britos has claimed that he did not need to think twice about joining Watford from Napoli.
The Uruguayan defender, 30, signed a three-year contract with the Premier League newcomers on Wednesday.
Britos admits that he enjoyed his time in Italy, but he is now looking forward to the challenge of England's top flight.
"I have been in Italy for seven years and the experience was great," he told the club's official website. "Not only for me as a footballer, but as a person as well.
"But I always loved watching the Premier League so as soon as the opportunity to join Watford came up I didn't need to think twice about it, I wanted to come straight away.
"My ambition is to help Watford to stay in the Premier League, and it is now a matter of concentrating hard on winning every game."
Britos made over 100 appearances for Napoli after joining the club from Bologna in 2011.
