Former Watford manager Xisco Munoz has been appointed as the new boss of Spanish side Huesca.

The Spaniard departed the Hornets at the beginning of October and was quickly replaced by Claudio Ranieri at Vicarage Road.

As revealed by sdhuesca.es on Wednesday, Munoz has now returned to his home country to take charge of the second-tier side.

He arrives with the Oscenses sat in 12th spot in the Segunda Division after 15 games of the campaign, following their relegation from the Spanish top flight last season.

The Spaniard took charge of Watford in December 2020 and inspired an immediate return to the Premier League before being dismissed with the side sat on seven points from the opening seven games of the season.
