Watford midfielder Adlene Guedioura has admitted that his side's 2-0 win over Middlesbrough could prove to be "important" in their bid for promotion.
The Hornets returned to the top of the Championship table on Monday as goals from Troy Deeney and Odion Ighalo earned them the spoils at Vicarage Road.
Slavisa Jokanovic's side have now won six of their last nine games in the league.
"This game was important," Guedioura told Sky Sports News. "This is a good victory and it had great goals from our strikers. We still have games to go and need to be focused."
Watford are back in action on Saturday when they make the trip to struggling Millwall.
