Watford manager Slavisa Jokanovic has criticised referee Lee Probert's performance during Saturday's defeat against Sheffield Wednesday.
The Hornets missed out on the Championship title as Atdhe Nuhiu scored a late equaliser during the 1-1 draw between the two teams at Vicarage Road.
Jokanovic felt that the goal should have been disallowed for offside and that Troy Deeney should have been awarded a penalty at the other end in the second half.
"He made a mistake, we didn't," Jokanovic told BBC Sport. "He didn't give the penalty and their goal was offside. One guy played with so many people's emotions in this stadium and it is not acceptable.
"They explained to me that Troy was running in the opposite direction of the goal. I probably do not understand the rules but that is a joke.
"They delivered the free-kick, their players tried to intervene and touch the ball. If I know the rules then that is offside, but perhaps the rules are different in the Championship."
Watford will return to the Premier League next season after a seven-year absence.
