Watford are reportedly running the risk of losing manager Slavisa Jokanovic by waiting to negotiate a new contract.
The Serbian became the club's fourth boss in the space of 37 days when he was appointed in October, but he has led the Hornets into the Premier League by winning 21 of his 35 games in charge.
Watford defeated Brighton & Hove Albion 2-0 on Saturday lunchtime but were forced to wait on other results before confirming their place in the top flight next term.
Jokanovic's current deal expires in June, and Watford are at risk of the 46-year-old leaving Vicarage Road if they delay talks over new terms, according to the Daily Mail.
Watford will win the Championship title if they beat Sheffield Wednesday on Saturday.
