Watford boss Gianfranco Zola has set his sights on gaining promotion from the Championship.
The diminutive Italian got off to a winning start yesterday as two late goals from Almen Abdi and Matej Vydra, both on loan from Udinese, saw his side beat Crystal Palace 3-2.
Zola is hopeful that the win is just the beginning of exciting times at Vicarage Road, and revealed that promotion is his aim for the season.
"The two new players who scored are quality players. Hopefully that is just the beginning," said Zola.
"Matej Vydra is a player who has the qualities to make a good impression on this team. He is going to get better and better because he is still learning.
"The type of football we need to play is expansive and I'm learning a lot from this division. How far we can go is difficult to say, but we will give [promotion] a go."
Watford's next match comes against Ipswich on Tuesday evening.
