Gareth Barry returns to the Everton starting XI for their trip to Watford.

Gareth Barry has returned to the Everton starting XI for their trip to Watford this afternoon.

It is the only change from manager Roberto Martinez following the Toffees' 1-0 defeat at Manchester United last weekend, with Tom Cleverley dropping down to the bench.

John Stones keeps his place in the back four alongside Phil Jagielka, Leighton Baines and Seamus Coleman, while Ross Barkley shores up the midfield alongside Aaron Lennon and Ross Barkley.

Top scorer Romelu Lukaku once again leads the line as he goes in search of his 19th league goal of the season.

Meanwhile, Watford manager Quique Flores makes five changes to the side that were crushed by Arsenal last weekend.

Most of those alterations come in defence, where Craig Cathcart is the only player to retain his place. Sebastian Prodl and Allan Nyom drop to the bench, while Nathan Ake fails to make the matchday squad altogether.

Odion Ighalo and Troy Deeney continue to provide the attacking threat for the Hornets with assistance for Jose Manuel Jurado, in for Almen Abdi.

The other change sees Valon Behrami picked over Mario Suarez, who starts among the substitutes.

Watford: Gomes; Paredes, Britos, Cathcart, Holebas; Capoue, Watson, Behrami; Jurado, Deeney; Ighalo
Subs: Pantilimon, Nyom, Prodl, Suarez, Guedioura, Abdi, Amrabat

Everton: Joel; Baines, Jagielka, Stones, Coleman; Barry, McCarthy; Lennon, Barkley, Deulofeu; Lukaku
Subs: Howard, Oviedo, Kone, Mirallas, Niasse, Cleverley, Funes Mori
