Werder Bremen have announced the signing of former Wigan Athletic striker Franco di Santo.
The Argentinian was a free agent having left the Latics earlier this summer. He joins Werder on a three-year contract.
"We were looking for a robust striker who already has experience in a big league," said Bremen sporting director Thomas Gauge on the club's website.
"We are sure that we have with Franco di Santo found a good solution. He has experience, but he also has enough development potential to make a big step forward.
"He wants to be with Argentina at the World Cup in 2014 and we would be delighted if he so draws attention in Bremen that he reached the goal."
The 24-year-old, who has three international caps with Argentina, is currently still in England and will be presented as a Werder player on Thursday.
